The title itself drew me in, since authenticity is one quality that I hold in the highest regard. My natural inclination is to wear my heart on my sleeve, and I have the utmost appreciation for others who are worthy of my trust. Not only does the idea of any false representation (whether intentional and for purposes of deceiving others, or unintentional and due to a lack of self-awareness on a subconscious level) leave an awful taste in my mouth . . . but, indeed, what a tangled web we do in fact weave when first we practice to deceive! Truth itself is already complex. It is only a waste of valuable energy to further complicate matters to the point of confusion; and to do so through such unsavory means only makes inauthenticity all the more detrimental to our precious lifetimes on this planet.
